This is the BBC 4’s pitch-perfect take on what’s wrong with cable news.  The art of genuine reporting is simply too difficult, it really is, for modern news folks.  Telling an actually story requires forethought, strategy and actual concern for the subject matter.  Unfortunately, all of that requires both patience and understanding - two traits all but forgotten by both cable news outlets AND their audience.  Especially their audience. 

“Bill gets wound up by virtually anything to the left of Mussolini, hectoring and yowling like a wolf that’s got his nuts caught on coat hanger.”

It’s a little dated, yes, but here’s what one particularly hysterical British man thinks about the state of America’s news.  Personally it hurts a little to know this is how self-important, self-aggrandizing and plainly fucking pathetic America’s news and commentary has become. Everything is obviously sensationalized for ratings.

“Holy fucking shit! A brutal, tyrannical heat wave has taken the lives 80 people and threatens to kill the entire fucking nation,” when it truth this is what every single July in the history of July is like.  Fucking hot.  Settle down, schmucks.
